Plucking
Enshi Yulu is made from young, tender tea leaves, which are carefully hand-plucked during the early spring harvest. Only the top first leaf and the bud are selected to ensure the finest quality.

Spreading
After plucking, the leaves are spread out to slightly wilt and reduce their moisture content. This step helps to preserve the leaves' natural freshness and prepares them for steaming.

Steaming
The tea leaves are then steamed to prevent oxidation and lock in their vibrant green color. This delicate process helps retain the fresh, grassy aroma and the high nutritional content of the tea.

Rolling and Shaping
After steaming, the leaves are gently rolled and shaped by hand or machine. This step helps to release the essential oils and juices from the leaves, shaping them into slender, neat strips that are characteristic of Enshi Yulu.

Dried Leaves
Finally, the tea leaves are carefully dried to remove any remaining moisture. This step helps to preserve the tea’s quality, enhance its flavor, and ensure its long shelf life.
